June 14, 2010 @ 10:00 am: Tabletop exercise
The LEPC will be participating in a tabletop exercise starting at 10AM 6/14/10 and lasting until 1 or 2PM at the Menominee County ISD building. Lunch will be provided. Debra will be polling emergency personnel to get an estimate of food requirements. Please plan on attending--we need representatives of each area to make the exercise effective.
Please also be aware of the following M&M Amateur Radio Club event. We rely on them for communications help in an emergency.
The M&M Amateur Radio Club will once again be participating in the "2010 Field Day" event. This is the biggest on-air event of the year. This event will involve over 35,000 participants across the US. and Canada. Field Day allows radio operators to demonstrate their abilities to construct and operate emergency radio communications stations. The M&M Amateur Radio Club will be setting up a Field Day station on the Jones property at 32nd avenue and 18th Street. The station set-up will start June 25th in the afternoon. This station will start operations on June 26th at 1pm local time, and run continuously for twenty four hours on emergency power. |
