The NorthCare Network Policy Board is comprised of one delegate appointed by the Board of Commissioners in each of the fifteen Upper Peninsula Counties.

NorthCare Network is one of Michigan’s ten Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans (PIHPs) responsible for the management of the 1115 Behavioral Health Demonstration Waiver Program and relevant approved waivers, the Healthy Michigan Program, and Substance Use Disorder Community Grant Programs under contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).

NorthCare provides a comprehensive array of specialty mental health and substance use disorder services and supports for people with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), and Substance Use Disorders.  NorthCare manages its responsibilities in a manner that promotes maximum value, efficiency and effectiveness consistent with state and federal statute and applicable waiver standards.

Meetings of the SUD Policy Board are scheduled two times a year and begin at 11:00 AM (EST) at 1230 Wilson St., Marquette, MI 49855
