Child Support:
A Uniform Child Support Order is any order entered by the Circuit Court which requires the payment of support. Support may include; but not limited to:
* Child support
* Payment of medical, dental and other health care
* Payment of child care expenses

Support Recommenations:

Support Enforcement:
The Friend of the Court has many options available to collect support. They include, but are not limited to:
Immediate Income Withholding: Income withholding directs the payer's employer or other source of income to withhold support and send it to the Michigan State Disbursement Unit (MiSDU).
Contempt of Court (Show Cause) Hearing: A civil hearing may be scheduled before the court for non-payment.
Income Tax Intercept: A payer is automatically reported for both Federal and State Tax Offset. Federal if arrears are at least $500.00 and State if arrears are at least $150.00.
In such cases, a tax refund due the payer of support is sent to MiSDU and applied to past due support.
License Suspension: The Court may initiate action to have occupational or driver’s license suspended.
Consumer Reporting: A payer is automatically reported if arrears equal 2 or more months of the current support obligation.
Liens: A claim against real or personal property.
Cash Bonds: A payment of a specific amount of money to guarantee future support payments may be made.
