A Division of the Region 8 Homeland Security Planning Board.

This board meets to discuss community needs that parallel the Homeland Security Initiatives, to address shortfalls and objectives identified in the state homeland security and regional homeland security strategies. These identified needs are then brought to the Regional Planning Board meeting by the elected group representative. If the regional board sees the needs of this board as being a regional need, they then try to determine what the cost of fulfilling this need regionally will be and to determine if this project will fit into the budget as outlined by the board to fulfill the initiatives suggested by the state.
