Menominee County Marine Patrol-
Duties include:
Patrolling all bodies of water open to the public in Menominee County
Enforcing state boating laws and local watercraft ordinances
Investigating marine-related complaints
Conducting boat safety inspections of recreational boats
Conducting livery safety inspections (inspections of rental boats)
Assisting U.S. Coast Guard with law enforcement operations and in conducting searches of commercial vessels visiting the Port of Menominee/Marinette
Assist other agencies such as the Michigan D.N.R., Wisconsin D.N.R., and Marinette County Sheriff Department with marine law enforcement
Conducting boating safety classes
Recovering drown bodies
Investigating boating accidents and other water-related accidents
Member of Marinette/Menominee Regional Maritime Safety and Security Committee
Menominee Water Rescue-
Year founded: 1983
Volunteer water rescue team that provides water rescue services on all bodies of water in Menominee County including the Menominee River, Cedar River, Shakey Lakes, and 256 square miles of the bay of Green Bay
The team is available 24 hours a day from April 15th through November 1st.

14' Starcraft with 4 H.P. outboard motor -- kept on a trailer at the Menominee County Sheriff's Office
17' Starcraft with 90 H.P. outboard motor -- kept on a trailer at the Menominee County Sheriff's Office
27' Boston Whaler with twin 225 H.P. outboard motors -- docked at the Menominee Marina
EQUIPMENT: Marine Radar, 2-Marine Band Radios, RDF (Radio Direction Finder), De-watering Pump, Fire Extinguishing Equipment, GPS Chart Plotter, Sonar Depth sounder with Color Display, Public Service Band Radio (police, fire, medical, rescue), Oxygen, First Aid Equipment, Airway Management Equipment, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), Cold Water Immersions Suits, Floating Basket Stretcher with Lifting
Bridle, Floating Backboard, 2-Spotlights, Image Stabilizing Binoculars
