If you cannot pay your taxes in full **partial payments are accepted**
Make check or money order payable to Menominee County Treasurer. Include parcel number with payment. Mail to:

Taxes that are more than two years delinquent have a substantially higher interest rate (1.5% per month, as opposed to 1% the first year). A $175 forfeiture fee and additional administrative fees are also added.

Property with taxes that are three years delinquent will be foreclosed, and the property will be sold at public auction. Property owners who fail to pay their 2017 delinquent property taxes will lose their property to foreclosure in March 2020.

Timeline for 2019 Property Taxes

July 1 and December 1, 2019:


2019 Summer and Winter taxes are billed by local unit Treasurers, and collected through February 2020.

March 1, 2020:


Unpaid 2019 taxes are turned over to the County Treasurer for collection.
4% administration fee and 1% per month interest is added to each parcel.


October 1, 2020:

$15 fee is added to each delinquent parcel.

March 1, 2021:


Property with unpaid 2019 tax is forfeited to County Treasurer, and $175 fee is added. Interest increases to 1.5% per month, from the date the taxes became delinquent.


January 31, 2022 - March 10, 2022:

Circuit court enters a judgment of foreclosure.
From judgment date, owners have until March 31, 2022, to pay the taxes or will lose their property.
After March 31, 2022, clear title to the property passes to the County.

July 2022:

County sells property at public auction.
