Kleinke Park is located 13 miles north of Menominee on M35.
If you want a gorgeous view of the Bay this is the park for you. Swim in the Bay (no life guard on duty) and lay on the nice sandy beach. There is a carry on boat launch.
Camping can be on daily or seasonal sites. All sites are 20/30/50 amp service. A service building, sinks, flush toilets, and showers, and a dump station are on site.
Ice and Fire wood are normally available in park. A play ground for the kids and picnic area with a pavilion are next to the campground.
A new online reservation system for making camping reservations at Shakey Lakes, Kleinke Park, and River Park is available. All sites at the county-owned campgrounds will now be by reservation only, but you can make reservations online for the same day if a site is available.
"This is the first step in reorganizing the Menominee County Parks System to improve the quality of parks in our community and to use the limited resources we have in a more efficient manner. There have been many improvements made at the county parks in the past year or two – the addition of a kayak launch and overall renovation at Mason Park, rip-rap added at Stony Point Boat Launch, development of an online reservation system, and electricity upgrades at Shakey Lakes amongst the many. But there are a lot of projects and maintenance to be completed and the additional revenue generated from the new pricing system can help achieve some of those goals," said Menominee County Administrator Jason Carviou.
The new pricing system takes effect January 1, 2022. Annual passes can be purchased at the Menominee County Courthouse and are also available on the Parks reservation website.
