Menominee County Road Commission currently has the following open position:

Part-time Office/Accounting Assistant
Menominee County Road Commission Stephenson, MI
Salary Negotiable Flexible part-time schedule, No benefits

The Menominee County Road Commission is looking for a part-time office/accounting assistant to help with a variety of duties in a casual office environment. The objective for the position is to be cross-trained in a variety of duties for filling in during absences and periods of increased workloads.

The ideal candidate will be very organized, pay attention to detail, have excellent customer service skills, computer skills and the ability to multi-task duties.

Job Function Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare outgoing mail & process incoming mail
• Answer phones and take detailed messages and/or routing calls to the appropriate person
• Data entry in computer system ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Scanning, copying and filing documents
• Assist with payroll processing
• Assist with accounts payable processing
• Scheduling and arrangements for travel and events
• Miscellaneous other duties as requested for team support with various projects

Minimum Education:

• High School diploma, with some college preferred

Skills & Qualification Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
• Efficient time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
• Reliability
• Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
